Robin (scan and mobile)

Today being 29th Feb and following the old Irish custom/ Scottish law did any of you(r) beautiful ladies propose to their sweethearts? I knew of this only after watching Leap Year movie! Do let me know, I love romances, both real life and fictional.

This isn't strictly a new post. I'm just taking the excellent suggestion of Peter Olson (http://www.peter-pho2.com/) and accordingly post both the scanned image and the mobile image. (I still haven't brought my Nikon over to my new place)

So, what do you think is better - the mobile or the scanned image (shameless promotional tactics for a mediocre drawing,  I know ;)) )

Picture 1 - Scanned

Picture 2 - Mobile (already posted)

  1. Hello dear friend, Ruby. How is the new home? Happy? Well as the photos, I liked the first one, I do not know if it's on your taste. kisses

  2. I prefer to take digital shots of my work but sometimes the scanner is needed. Some colors don't pick up well with the camera and sometimes the scanner reflects off a shining painting. Each artwork has to be done to see what the end result is comparing one to the other.

  3. Marcos, I'm still getting adjusted to my new city. I'm a paying guest as of now, if I like it here I would rent a flat :) I also think the first scanned one is better.

Larry, yes it is very difficult to post pictures of drawings. Sometime I do lighting and contrast adjustments.

  6. Actually think I like the mobile, it has a softer look to it. My mobile pictures usually are full of lines so I really like that look.

  10. Interesting post. On 29 February 2004 I ( a Scottish resident) I was in California and was proposed to by a friend in England. Sometimes fiction becomes reality!

The first is the better picture but I prefer the softness of the second picture.

  11. Hi Ruby,

I can not say it better I think because the first picture is brighter and sharper on coming in terms of details, but your second photo has a warmer feel.

    Greetings, Helma
