I am now on an official trip :((( and since this place is near Agra, thought I might as well make it a bit cheery and fun by visiting the most beloved TajMahal. Hope you like the pictures below. Since it wasn't a planned trip, I didn't have a camera and these pictures were taken with a mobile phone.
My laptop still has some issues and I have not been able to visit any blogs :((

Super pictures, I saw a documentary last week about this building and the queen burried in it.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
I have been to Agra twice and loved Taj Mahal. But more than that I loved Agra Fort.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are right, something should be done about this harassment thing by the sellers there. Not to mention the cleanliness problem that exists in and around the monuments.
With the large population there would be challenges around the Taj Mahal. However, I would still like to see. Someone like me who lives in a sparsely populated area would suffer some culture shock.
ReplyDeleteI have been to many places in India and except Mysore, I realized Indian government didn't care about any of it's heritage.
ReplyDeleteNot a surprise, government doesn't cares for India let alone it's heritage :(
Wow, how beautiful! I'm sorry it was such a nightmare, though.
ReplyDeleteThat is such an iconic structure. It's one of those places that it seems everybody should visit at least once in a lifetime, if possible.
ReplyDeleteHello Ruby,
ReplyDeletedespite your photos taken with a mobile phone I think they're really very nice. Enjoy your trip.
Kind regards, Helma
Una preciosidad de fotos las que nos has dejado. Como siempre un placer haber vuelto por tu casa.
ReplyDeleteSaludos y un abrazo.
Oh lovely, my dream is to visit Taj Mahal.;) That and the Pyramids of Giza, hope I will still get to see these.;))
ReplyDeleteThank you for your recent visit and lovely comments.;))
xoxo
It would be nice to be able to see this building Ruth. Can you take photos inside? - Dave
ReplyDeleteWhen I visited the Taj over 20 years ago I was amazed at the intricate inlaid stonework. The architectural beauty is only the beginning. It would be truly amazing two view it at sunrise or sunset, but I think it's closed to the public at these times.
ReplyDeletewish I could there too! but with my canon :)
ReplyDeletewonderful pics..no words can describe this building!
ReplyDeleteI visited the Taj about 15 years ago and I completely agree with what you say. Granted, the Taj is amazing but the facilities are absolutely appalling.
ReplyDeleteI have never been but have always wanted to see it in person.. thanks for sharing your lovely images Ruby and the entrance.
ReplyDeleteA visit to the Taj is always romantic. I am sure you felt the romance in the atmosphere too !
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and stonework. I love the history and think it would be great to visit and walk along the great long pond. I really like the designs on the marble walls. Just found your blog and dropped in. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeletevery nice post, pretty cool .... with images that match the design view, very beautiful, Tajmahal, is great and extraordinary

Despite some "warnings" I read here, this is a place I just MUST visit! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry the trip itself didn't go better, but the pictures are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteKävin 15 vuotta sitten, Agrassa ja Taj Mahal. Kiitos kauniista kuvista:)
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip.
ReplyDeleteWonderful place and photo's.....good work Ruby.
ReplyDeleteFotografie stupende! dall'Italia un caloroso saluto...ciao
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photos of a gorgeous place.
ReplyDeleteLiving as I do in a very sparsely populated area of Britain and in New Zealand where there are only 4.5 million people in a country the size of Britain I don't think there is any way that I would cope with India. Close friends have travelled around your country and love it and have been to the Taj twice they loved it so much.
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing and good jab
